The bet
Su Tung is a bet that agentic AI can take the tedious work off people's hands. We started with legal research because it truly needs AI.
It is a crazy thing to ask of a human - Dig through an thousands (if not millions) of documents and find the one that matters. It is not the right way, with AI we finally have the answer.
The story
It started the way a lot of projects start: a machine learning enthusiast who is not a lawyer married someone who is.
The lawyer had a research job that was, by any reasonable measure, ridiculous. Not intellectually ridiculous — just long. Search for a phrase. Open a judgment. Read and scan for relevance. Do that until your eyes hurt.
What happened next? She assigned him to come up with a tech solution
Faced with a pile of work that looked like it would eat a weekend, he did what tech nerds do in the modern days: he tried to make an agent do it. Search the corpus, read targeted documents, check for relevance, come back with an answer. He expected a mess.
The part that takes a human days — the searching, the reading, the checking — turned out to be the part an agent is unusually good at, as long as you understand deeply how LLM actually works, and knows how to design aounrd its strengths and weaknesses.
That is why this exists. Legal research is the first job. The larger bet is that a lot of work people still do by hand is the same kind of grind, and agentic AI can take it. The world would be a better place if it did.
Su Tung is the guy who carries the books for her.
書僮 means a servant who carries books for a scholar. In a scholar's study, that was the person who fetched the right volume, ground the ink, and kept the lamp going so the scholar could think.
What it does
You ask a legal question in chat. Su Tung searches Hong Kong judgments and legislation, reads the legal authorities, and gives you findings — with citations back to the official record. Minutes, not days. You still do the judging.
What it isn't
- Not a lawyer. It produces research, not advice. No solicitor–client relationship exists, and nothing here should be filed without a qualified person reading it first.
- Not a substitute for the legal authorities. The model can misread a passage or miss a qualification. Every reference links to its official record; for anything that matters, open it.
- Not a live feed. Judgments and legislation are refreshed on a schedule. A judgment handed down this morning, or legislation promulgated moments ago, may not be in it yet.

Judgment text is referenced from the Legal Reference System of the Hong Kong Judiciary. Legislation is referenced from Hong Kong e-Legislation — the current consolidated version. Every case and chapter we show links back to its official record. Where our text and theirs differ, theirs is the one that counts.
